Health and Safety Policy

Fox Allen Bindery LLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all staff, workshop participants, and visitors. This policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities to ensure safety in the studio.
1. General Safety Guidelines
Participants must follow all instructor guidance and studio rules
Workspaces and tools must be kept clean and organized to prevent accidents
Walkways and exits must remain clear at all times
Sharp tools, heated equipment, adhesives and all other materials must be used responsibly
2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety gloves, aprons, or protective eyewear may be required depending on the activity and will be provided
Participants are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes
Long hair should be tied back when using equipment
3. Health Requirements
Participants must not attend workshops if feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms of contagious illness
Any relevant allergies, medical conditions, or mobility limitations must be disclosed prior to participation
The Studio reserves the right to ask participants to refrain from activities if they may compromise their safety or that of others
4. Emergency Procedures
First aid supplies are available in the studio
In the event of an accident or injury, the instructor will provide immediate assistance and, if necessary, contact emergency services
Emergency contact information is collected from all participants prior to workshop participation
Fire exits and evacuation routes are clearly marked; participants must familiarize themselves at the start of each session
5. Cleaning and Sanitation
Tools, surfaces, and shared equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained
Participants are encouraged to wash hands before and after workshops
Any spills or hazards must be reported immediately
6. Reporting Concerns
Participants, visitors, and staff should report unsafe conditions, hazards, or near misses to the instructor immediately
The Studio will investigate and take appropriate corrective actions to prevent accidents
7. Compliance and Responsibility
All participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of those around them
Failure to follow health and safety rules may result in removal from the workshop or studio
